Grounding the reverb transformer

Post by James_rc »

Hi, everyone.

I’m just about ready to put the boards in my JM Sig/Wonderland/Fairfield County, and one of the odds and ends I need to take care of first is grounding the reverb transformer. I don’t have any more room in these ground tabs at the reverb RCA’s. I was going to use a wire brush in my drill to get some bare aluminum and add a new ground tab, but as I was looking at it today I wondered if I could just solder the reverb transformer ground to co-ax shield, treating it almost like a short bus bar? Wanted to check here first.

The only thing I would add, if you are grounding each RCA jack into the chassis, make sure there is no powder coating on that spot. If you are floating it with rubber washers then it's fine
