Fender Champion 600 re-issue

Has anyone here bought the new two tone champ from fender? I wanted to buy it and rip the circuit out of it and wire it by hand. Has anyone here peeked inside one yet?

I would like to resurrect this and see what others think, too. Just seems like a cheap route to go for some potentially great 6L6 tones.


....Really what intrigues me is doing a (2) 12A_7, (1) 6L6 amp with a single 12" but pretty unfamiliar with existing examples or close variants.

Looks like a modified Champ to me but with fixed resistors for EQ, etc. But that tiny speaker? No thanks. Would be interested to hear it through a different speaker, though (12"?).

Anyone done anything with it?
