Sergio,

Delta Pro would be OK in combination with something brighter. Good low end in that speaker, but lacks a bit in the high end. I own a 2 x 12 cab with a Delta Pro and a CL-80 clone that sounds very good.

The 2 definitive speakers for Dumble's are the EVM 12L and Celestion 1265. Since both are either expensive or hard to find it's nice to have other choices. The Eminence Delta Pro 12A is supposed to be a good EVM replacement.

I really like my open back 2x12 with warehousespeakers.com V30 and Lead80. The Eminence line has some nice choices too. I have a combo with an Eminence Tonker and a Swamp Thang that sounds great. Neither speaker was really perfect by itself but together they sound great. I also like the Eminence Red White and Blues but they seem to lack a little in the highs.

I hope that helps.

I mixed my Eminence Red, White and Blues with an Eminence Cannabis Rex. Surprisingly, the combination sounds kind of like my EVM 12L and is much better than the RW&B alone.

Ok , I think a combination like this:
1) EVM 12L / EMINENCE TONKER
2 EVM 12L / DELTA-PRO12

The second choice I don't know if is good!
I can wiring two speakers 8 Ohm(result 4 Ohm) of different power?
Ex: 8 ohm 200W with 8 ohm 80W

Thanks

Emminence Swamp thang and an Emminence Tonker is a good combo.

Celestion Classic Lead 80 is also a good speaker with the ODS.

I've never tried anything in combination with the EVM, sorry.

Yes, as long as the lower power speaker can handle 1/2 of the total power.

I agree. I happened on this combination through some ebay purchases and I like it a lot.

Again, agreed. I have both real Celestion lead 80's and the warehousespeakers.com copies. I really like both and the warehouse are much cheeper.

Bob,
What is the major difference between the real thing and the Warehouse version?

Sergio,

2 8 ohm speakers in paralell results in a 4 ohm load.
2 8 ohm speakers in series results in a 16 ohm load

Hope this helps-

Yes Funk , I know Ohm's law . Maybe my questions is incorrect.

If I have an amp with output power 100W (OT sec.4/8ohm), I can use 2 8Ohm in parallel with different power?(200W with 80W)
Thanks

Power equals voltage times current, right? So if your amp is putting out 100w (which it probably isn't, given how loud 100w amps tend to be run full out), and you have your speakers in parallel, each speaker only sees roughly half the current, therefore in this case your power on each speaker is halved because current is halved. If your speakers are in series, neither speaker will see the whole voltage, again resulting in much less than 100w on each. Anyone else, please jump in if I'm wrong on this.

Unless one of the speakers didn't have a high enough power rating, I don't see how it'd be a problem, since the power rating is simply a measure of how much the speaker can handle before it starts to misbehave (read: explode).

I'd say that the real thing is a bit "tighter" especally in the bottom end. Both have nice fat bottom ends, but the Celestion seems tight and focused, where the warehouse seems looser and wider.... if that makes any since at all. Mids and highs are very similar.

To add to my answer above.

If you have 2 speakers in parallel, each will dissipate exactly 1/2 of the total output power. So if you have a 100 watt amp with the 2 speakers above, each will handle 50 watts (maybe more if you push into distortion). Therefore YES you can run those 2 speakers together.
