Blackface Vibroverb footpedal

Post by angelodp »

Hi, for this vibroverb foot pedal one side, the verb, is shielded the term side is not. Why is that?

Any one have a layout for building this footsiwtch?

Thanks Ange

On the Reverb side, you are shorting the output side of the Tank to ground so it needs to be shielded. On the Tremolo side you are just switching DC to ground so there is no Audio to pickup noise.

I went around on footswitches in this Deluxe Reverb build: https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 61#p428861 There are some photos of the insides you can use. Pretty simple. Scroll down to the end for the final version with old-school RCA plugs and foot switches. If you have a pop in the audio when the trem is switched on, a 180k resistor across the switch will eliminate it.
