New clips....

Post by larsmuller »

Hi,

I made 2 new clips. This time I had a little more time to spare, so the mix is a little better. The backing track are from a play-a-long CD. Cap is GT with 12" Tonespotter, close mic. Hope you´ll like it...

Lars,

Very nice - tone and playing. Your amp has that characteristic Dumble mids thing going on that attracted me to these amps in the first place. I really love that singing tone. Way Cool 8) . So much good tones and music going on here lately! I wonder if a sound clip area would be in order. I'd like to hear what those Wreck guys are doing too - I just never browse that area and should.

Congrats on a killer sounding amp!

Lars,

Sounds Great! Good mids and cool playing! Goed Bezig!

Did you change much to the amp since you posted the pics?

One of the best if not the best mid honk clips (BluesyTune.wav) I've heard so far  That is just the mids I hear in my head.

So You have pair of 6L6's (nonHRM) and 4k7 as the NFB resistor ?

Also do You still have the carbon composite resistors on the grids ?

Wow! That is great tone... will you share your setup and any tweaks that helped you get there?

Nice, Lars. What kind of guitar are you playing?

Argh... why doesn't mine sound like that? My amp seems more muffled, w/out that raw overdrive bite.

Nice tone....

No aftershave....just stinkin me....hahaha after hours of practicing and tuning....wha....no I think I was wearing Fa Sport...

I used a Westone Rainbow with SD pups. JB at the bridge and a 59 at the neck. (picture,...the Amp is NOT the recording amp, a very nice Dclone though, build by a friend of mine, Paul Klatser)

Cabinet is a groove tubes 1x12 with tonespotter...

thnx for all the nice replies....

Today I replaced a good portion of the 715 Orange Drops and Jensen Caps with Orange Drops 6Ps....after a few hours of audio signal and playin it warmed up very nice, much better sound than before. The 715s are a bit fizzy.

I´m going to take the pup to her first gig next Sunday, see what happens...

Thanks ;) It really made me laugh, he said it so "matter of fact". Of course... he's 16 now, not 9, but I'll still give him a high five (and hope he doesn't knock me over!).
