Re: Converting an old radio - Tremolo help?
Update again...I solved the filament issue by using parallel/opposing IN5404 diodes in series in each filament string. Now the 5V is around 5.2, and the 6.3 is around 6.5. Much better! I also realized that my trem speed control is an audio taper pot, when it should be reverse audio. I can't find a proper switched pot that is RA, so I'm going with a linear. Should at least be a little better. I'm also going to change the intensity control to a little closer to a Vox AC-4 setup, maybe. I swapped in a yellow diode for the trem circuit, and now I get a thump, whether the volume is up or not. I'll keep at it, and will post final schematics/layouts when complete.

Okay, if anyone's still following, here's the final layout/schematic.
