for VOX AC 15 C1 users

Post by edo »

Hello everyone, does anyone know if the normal and top boost channel in VOX AC 15 circuitry are connected/paralleled?

I saw that using the normal channel it's possible to use the eq section of the top boost channel raising the volume of this latter channel.

I'm asking cause i'm wondering if it's possible to daisy chain the VOX connecting another amp via the normal channel while using the guitar through the top boost channel or if it won't work.

I asked the VOX support but i didn't receive any answer.

Thank you very much!

Have a nice day.

Those two channels are not in parallel, they feed two separate gain stages.

To feed off to another amp or the other channel you would need a Y cable, or Y adapter.

This seems wrong, please could you explain or provide a reference?

I can’t see how that could work.

That's an example of spurious / parasitic crosstalk between channels. I guess that the amp designers didn't perceive it to be an issue, so didn't try to reduce it, in the way that designers of a stereo hifi / PA amp would probably try to.

I really can't see that parasitic crosstalk would provide a suitable means to achieve the idea you were enquiring about

Have a nice day.
