Audiophiles and interestingly Coil Gun researchers talk about this a lot. Magnetic flux gets changed lots with whats around it.
For instance if you put a Iron pipe around a barrel + coils of a coilgun/gaussgun it will increase the amount of magnetic flux into the projectile; thereby increasing its ability to do work.
Logically it makes sense that changing the field of an audio transformer would change the frequency response and efficiency of the amp.

Ditto ! Yeah that's a beautyWow that's some sexy SS!
FWIW not a guitar amp but the old Sonny Jr. amps used stainless as well...
Re: Stainless Vs. Aluminum
I used SS for exactly one build, because I got the chassis as a gift. It was pre-punched, but the few holes I did need to make were a royal PitA. I would not do it again except 100% prepunched!

I'm a sucker for German Engineering...
Larry's amp are beautiful to say the least!!
My Dynaco ST-70 has a Stainless chassis.
Triode Electronics already sell Dyna Repro chassis for 120-140$ each...they should jump in and move some stainless chassis for rock and rollers...
