Re: type reverb
Normster's layouts are excellent. Yes you can use this reverb in #124 type ckt.sergio wrote:What do you think of this?

Re: type reverb
I don't want to be harassing , but I've another questions about the reverb.
The resistance between out-clean and phase-inverter (Normster layout is 100k) is more lower and hasn't the cap 10Pf like fender type.
Why?

Re: type reverb
The higher the resistance, the more high frequency lost. The 10pF is there to return the highs when a large resistor is used. The 100K doesn't kill the highs so the 10pF isn't needed.sergio wrote:I don't want to be harassing , but I've another questions about the reverb.

Thanks Bob for your explanation.
This forum is many helpful , thanks all.

Re: type reverb
Can someone show how this connects to the main circuitry (where and how). Is it in parallel or in serie? I've seen many reverb add-on in parallel, with a 2.2M / 20pf cap in the main section, between the IN and OUT of the reverb. What's that for (if it's connectec in parallel)?
Many thanks!

Re: type reverb
If I understand your question correctly - think of it this way - we have the whole sound of the amp and now we want to add reverb - so we send part of the signal to the reverb circuit where the reverb "magic" takes place and now we need to mix that reverb enhanced signal with the original, we can't mix it back where we originally got it from because we would create a feedback loop (i.e. reverb circuit adding reverb to a signal with reverb on it already - think massive howling). so we mix it back on the other side of a resistor. We try and keep the resistor value small so the main signal is not affected much by passing through it but large enough so the output of the reverb circuit can't leak back to it's input.bloom wrote:Can someone show how this connects to the main circuitry (where and how).
