Updated Express Bill of Material
OK gents, here it is.... this was a ton of work, I have to admit..
Hopefully it's pretty accurate, but would appreciate any and all comments / corrections that the group can provide.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Updated Express Bill of Material
I forgot to add that the text in the document in RED notes the stuff I am not sure about or have questions.
Please pile on with the corrections here- I'm looking to make it as accurate as is possible, given that part obsolescence is pretty likely on some stuff.

The Tweaker kit was stuff from YOUR (I think) original document included to allow for experimentation with values to tune the amp as KF might have.....
It's in Excel 2003...

There is a freeware Microsoft Office-like suite called Open Office. You can open this file with their "Spreadsheet-XL" by downloading the suite at:

That's what I used to create my BOM:

Edited to add: There are a few things that should be refined. The one that caught most people until they built one are the V4/V5 (R18/R19) grid resistors; they are NOT 2W, as is common on the layout graphic, but 1W.
I don't know about the originals, but if you use Tonesluts trannies, can use at least a #10 screw/nut set. The socket screws are #4 and not #6.
Ken used PVC wire, and definitely not teflon. He didn't like teflon.

Is it known why he didn't like Teflon wire?
Re: Updated Express Bill of Material
Yeah, he thought it was too bright. According to interviews, he only liked the PVC jacketed for his Expresses. However, the Komet guys wanted to use it, so he modified the Komet amps designs to take that into account.
What he said. I know folks here have used teflon and are happy with it.

Re: Updated Express Bill of Material
I used NTE solid core PVC wire for my two builds. The good thing is you can get it in small 25' rolls at an affordable price. Works out well if you are only building one or two amps, especially if you are copying all the proper colors used and then need several small rolls to cover it all.
Here is where I got mine for $5 a roll:

No worries bro, I just hope that this thing serves some good to the group.
