Express Pilot Light source

Post by Ron Worley »

I think that I have found the exact (very close) Pilot Light that KF used on the Express- see attached document.

Source: http://www.mode-elec.com/

I'm in the process of making a very detailed BOM that I will share with everyone- It should be the most accurate one based on those that I have seen so far. As Omar noted in his build posts, sourcing this stuff is a pain..

The min buy quantity is 10, but they're only about $1.20 each. If I get 10, will anyone here want any?

OK, I have 6 requested so far plus my 2 for 8.

Min buy is 10, so I will definitely do the buy. I will wait a few more days to see if there are more takers to get as many as the group will want.

Allynmey, any for you??????

If adding another 2 to your P.O. isn't a problem will you "make it so"? I appreciate your generous offer. Lemme know in a PM or whatever, NG

Thanks for the offer, Ron...I'm probably a little late for this deal, but what's the next price break on 'em? I'd be good for 5 or 10; utherwise I'll just order 10 from them myself.

I haven't ordered any yet- still waiting on a final quote from a distributor. I was quoted about $1.20 by the closest one (Austin, TX), but want another to see if the pricing is fairly uniform.

I will post when I get that quote, then make a list of who wants what....

Hi,

A 220v version would be nice, it doesn't appear that they have any of those.
The nut does not fit the threadoing on the pilot light provided with my ceriatone kit so I'm after another one.

Be careful with those pilot lights. They are really easy to crack during installation if you overtighen them. Look great though.

Thanks for the info Glen!

BTW, this is all your fault... after I heard your youtube clip, I just had to figure out what this whole Wreck thing was about....lol.

I don't think I'll ever sound as good as you do, but bloody hell, I'd settle for 75% as good!

Thanks,

Ron

Structo-

Yes they're identical- except Doug only has them in red... so for the totally anal builder, I found the amber style that KF used..

Gents-

I have scored 10 of these lights for y'all.

I have them reserved for the following folks per their request:

Photokin:2
GeofferySnow:2
ScottW:2
V846:2
DrHulsey:2

They're $2.00 each to cover my cost, plus $2.50 for shipping total (avg cost from USPS for first class shipping plus the padded mailer). Total cost for 2 is $6.50 with shipping. Please send your payments to me via paypal: flapsjr@hotmail.com.

I am leaving for a business trip to Europe on Friday, so get my your payment and addresses asap so that I can get them out this week!

If any are unclaimed, I will put them up for grabs.

Thanks,

Ron
