Picked up this cool Webster 81-15 today (side note if anyone has a schematic, would be appreciated!)
There appears to be a high wattage 20Ω resistor wired in series with AC mains hot coming into the amp.
What would be the purpose for this? Current limiting? Dropping the primary voltage?
Someone took time to install this, the mounting bracket is modified to fit, and then actually soldered into place.
The fuse in the holder is still good, 1.5A.
Any ideas?

You gotta jump thru some hoops then they email you a link to the file. Just takes a couple minutes. I did it just before I posted that message.
