Anybody know how to tighten the handle on the head cabinet of a YBA-1?
It's loose, can't get the caps off, metal plate underside of the top...
It feels like time to let the dremel out and put a stock fender handle on...

The decorative chrome cap at each end gets pryed up to unclip it .
Look at my photos I took for you.
Use a flat blade screwdriver to get under the thin chrome cap only.
If you have amp covering on the top in great condition then duct tape over the end of your screwdriver so that conners of the blade do not dig in to the Tolex, or if you have a old screwdriver to donate to the cause file or grind the corners off Round.

if i had not just sold mine i would've checked for you
did a few minor mods (biggest being making the bias adjustable and 150k grid resistors to allow el34 or 6550s to be used). these are KILLER and LOUD amps and can be scooped up for reasonable prices... i'm a value-conscious musician
