Dumble Overdrive Special Detailed Gut Shots
Here are some pictures of a 1977 Dumble ODS. I want to discuss some of the similarities and differences between this Dumble ODS and a run of the mill high powered blackface Fender such as the Showman. I'm no expert but I can see this amp is quite similar with a few added modifications and eccentricities. Can anyone with some general knowledge of amp circuits shed some light on what we are looking at?

BTW. And Just as a side note here. Judging by the parts used in this amp I'll bet this amp sounds and plays fantastic!!. All the right parts I would want and would use (just about) if I were were to build a 2nd Gen. The only thing I would change would be the TVA Bypass caps the Flexfoam coax and put in the RGU59/U75 Tandy (3rd gen type)
The 1/2 watt Phiers/Brown RN65's.Those Grey Precision IRC MEB's (Bypass resistors) and the Older Yellow 77 TVA Filters CTS/Centralab pots and the older Sprague PS's..All topped off with an old pair of RCA's
All play an enormous role in shaping the sound and character of these amps. I drool every time I stare at these old 2ns gens!
Fantastic.
(This is of course Just my opinion having tried many of these old NOS parts)
