spend that energy reading up (the merlin site you were directed towards earlier is a great resource)
Kenny, please take this in the spirit of which it is given. While your enthusiasm is admirable, it is clear from your posts that you are not spending the time to consider the answers that you are getting (for free) from very experienced people. You are asking what a Single Ended amp is and links were posted for your benefit. You asked what a reservoir cap was and how to pick the correct value. Guys responded with answers and links were also posted, again for you to read and learn from. Guys post here because of the common love for tone and tube amps and the enjoyment of sharing with others. But you will quickly find, that when you ask for someone's time but don't give them the courtesy of a direct and thoughtful reply, your threads are going to be a ghost town.

As Tragichero said, one thing at a time. Chasing two birds, you catch neither. He also suggested picking a chassis and gutting it and installing the circuit you want. Take the time to do some reading, learn the basic terms like Single Ended, Push-Pull, etc, so that you can effectively communicate and this will show that you are invested. You're going to get a lot more help this way. Otherwise, you should just take your amps to a tech and tell him "put a 3-prong cord on this and turn it into a Marshall" and "get the juice" out of the amp, as you say. It's a lot to ask a guy to just post everything you need to learn. That is part of your journey. The search feature on this site works well and will answer most questions you have. Everyone started at the same place and had to find their way. That said, here is a place you can start, because many before you asked the same question:

I know,,, at least I'm not alone. I really need to step back, take a breath & go with the smallest, most simple looking amp, the BOGEN HE10, & do some Wizard reading, but any off the top of your head tips/direction would be greatly welcome...
Be well all~~

Don't sweat it, man! Definitely check out the Valve Wizard site (Merlin Blencowe). I like his site because he presents foundational topics in bite size chunks with worked examples. They assume you have some basic knowledge of electronics but his writing is very accessible. Grab your favorite libation, and the ones I would focus on to start are:

Common Cathode Gain Stage/Principles of voltage amplification
Http://www.valvewizard.co.uk/Common_Gain_Stage.pdf

Power Supply filtering
http://www.valvewizard.co.uk/smoothing.html

Single-ended Power Amp
http://www.valvewizard.co.uk/se.html

Push-Pull Power Amp
http://www.valvewizard.co.uk/pp.html

Once you are comfortable with those, the other topics are worth your time as they expand on the basics.
