I am a new guy doing his first build. Car mechanic finishing up two associate degrees currently. After searching around for a new amp, I have noticed most are either poor quality or over priced "vintage/boutique". I will take the easy way out and build my own amp. I have decided on an amp with a variety of tones and a master volume, so no attenuator is needed at lower volume levels.

I am trying to get everything I need compiled onto a list, so I can purchase everything by tomorrow night. I have a few questions.
What OT/PT/Choke do I use? Where do I purchase them?
Searched:Some say Fender, some say Marshall. How about Mercury/Heyboer?
Where can I find a blank chassis? What size do I need?
Searched:Allynmey shop recommended(http://ampbuildersparts.com) but, no amp chassis were listed.
What capacitors should I use?
Searched: sprague atom electrolytic the best?
What resistors should I use?
Searched:Vishay/Dale RN65 resistors throughout the entire amp?

You put up the Ceriatone layout, is that the one you want to build? Or just something similar?
If you want to build a Ceriatone you can get a kit of whatever parts you need from them. They have a chassis also.
If you want a more modern circuit, see the post on the Bludo/Funk chassis.
Check out the D'Lite, it seems to be a popular build, I think they also have a chassis available.
I am shure there are other sources also.
If you reallly don't want a pre-drilled one, someone may comment on whats available.
Real Dumbles of the vintage from which that Ceriatone layout was derived used Fender Twin OT/PT/Choke.
I just picked up Hammond Fender Twin replacement transformers for my build. There are a number of on-line sources of these. I can only comment that they look like the originals and mount like orginals and they are reasonable price wise. The OT says made in USA and the PT says made in Canada. I cannot comment on their performance yet.

Before you go ordering everything might I draw your attention to the D'Lite layout and schematic....in particular, the tweaked and latest documentation. The D'lite is slowly migrating to more typical non-HRM Dumble component values and my Overtone is evolving similarly. Also, the D'lite is a heck of a lot easier to build, tweak, and more importantly troubleshoot than Nik's amp. There is a lot of non-essential fluff in the Overtone.
Just a thought.
As for what you need for components. Please don't take this in any way other than I'm trying to help, but, you have to get your knowledge a little more dialed in before you go "hap-hazzardly" ordering this and that. Spend a few days reading through ALL (yes-all) the threads in this wonderful forum. Given your acedemic background you understand the value of hunkering down and doing some detailed research. I have 3 "Dumble" notebooks full of this and that and even now building from scratch is a daunting proposition.
Before even getting to building you may be overwhelmed with the burden of sourcing all the parts from the various vendors. You will be surprised at how fast the shipping adds up.... You did mention cost was a factor, right? In that case, a kit is the safest, least expensive, and might I add least stressful route to getting your FIRST amp build. Build a few and then jump into sourcing parts.

Yes it is and it has the footswitch and passive effects loop.
