What parts (if any) from old electronics can be usable in our amp building domain.
Old line-printers, control units, terminals...Probably not so much?
Any experience?
Hope you all are in good health...

Sometimes there is high quality wire to be stripped out, and possibly switches, IEC inlets, metal plates that can be used as chassis material, etc. You need to be creative.
You might figure a way to use the ribbon cables and connectors, but it is a real PITA to liberate the connectors from PC boards. Mostly, it is time consuming to harvest parts and the value isn't great. If you are doing it to pass the time or because you enjoy holding a hot soldering iron, then why not?

depending on how old you may have a "gold mine" of obsolete semiconductor on your hands. transistors, diodes. op amps (had an 80s yamaha organ that had something like 30 of the 4558d chips the tubescreamer guys go nuts for). i do a fair bit of salvaging for this making fuzzes with transistors nobody else is using. do they sound any different? I've spent a good enough portion of my life standing in front of cranked 4x12s to tell ya that my hearing ain't that sensitive. but it's still fun
and yeah, i have more wire than i could ever need.... miles of it

Yes, for curiosity’s sake I opened up a faulty bedside clock radio we were throwing out, found one of those sought after 4558 on the pcb

Got some telefunken EL84 s from an old chassis, supposedly a '60's Grundig.
