Hi all~ I'm strongly considering having a master put in my Budda TwinMaster, but I wanted some feedback (literally!) from those of you who have had some success with this. I assume PPIMV means I'd be affecting the signal after the power tube section, and/or is there another MV that might better suit this unique amp? FWIW, I use mostly the high gain input.
Thanks, Kenny

Unfortunately no such thing out there, Hero!!
Re: MV For Budda TwinMaster amp??
Not exactly. Post phase inverter master volume. So, it retains the distortion you get from the PI, but attenuates the signal hitting the power tubes (so, no power tube distortion).
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com
Re: MV For Budda TwinMaster amp??
Cool Xtian,, so is my only hope for any attenuation post power tubes an attenuater?
Also, I understand the different MV's, pre & post PI, work better in certain designs, like post in Marshalls & pre in Fenders. But how could I better determine what would work best in the relatively simple Budda design? I want to do this only once.
Thanks!!

This is all I have but search for the post on Ampgarage by Robert Hinson (RHinson) might bring up more info.

Thanks Mark,,,, Are those the preamp tubes in that diagram?
Re: MV For Budda TwinMaster amp??
Thanks M Fowler,
so it is like:
so it is like:
- input Hot CH
- directly to V1 pin2
- V1 pin1 100k plate load, 22nF coupling cap
- V1 pin3 10k//680nF (in series with 10k?)
- to Normal CH and 1M log Vol pot
- directly to V1 pin7
- V1 pin6 100k plate load
- V1 pin8 1k5//22uF
- Bass&Treble EQ
- V2 configured as LTP PI with 82k and 100k on the plates, 470 2k7 100k on the cathodes
- 2x 10n to 100k to power amp
