Hello D'Lite Gurus,
I'm working through the last half of an ODS build and I have been following the D'Lite as a template. I see there are a few iterations of the D'Lite and I've notice a bit of a variation in a couple layouts I've got on the power tube wiring. I'm inclined to believe that either would get me a working amp, but I'm interested in understanding the significance of the two methods and then which method would apply for my build.
I'll post a photo that gives a close up shot of the power tube wiring  for both units... The differences I'm speaking of should be fairly obvious from the picture...  there are a couple resistor values that differ as well as the basic wiring schemes.
I appreciate any teaching and advice that might make this more clear for me.

Pins 1 & 6 are both "dead" on 6V6/6L6 tubes so they're often used as terminals to hang resistors off of. The drawing on the left is wired for 6L6/6V6 OR EL34. The one on the right will not work for EL34. Either way is fine, but I wire all of my amps like the one on the left.
As for the different values, the screen resistors should be 1K/5watt if you ever want to try EL34s. If you're pretty certain you're going to only use 6V6 or 6L6, then 470R or 500R is OK. (Dogears can actually hear the difference, but I can't.)
1.5k is a pretty standard value for grid resistors. Dumble schematics I've seen call for 5.1k. Moss and I settled on 1.8k, but for the life of me I can't remember why.
 
When in doubt, use the values from the schematics.

There are a few differences between your two pictures.  
A- The screen supply which is your voltage from the right side of the 500 Ohm 10W on the PS board goes through a 5 watt resistor to pin 4 for each tube. This resistor is generally considered to be 500 for 6L6 and 1K for EL34. Also note for EL34 pins 1 and 8 are/must be connected together.
B- The connection coming from the PI area goes through a resistor and then terminates at pin 5. This resistor value in a D amp varies but (IMO) is most generally about 5K (pic shows 1.5K, typical Fender value)
Remember that there is no connection to the tubes at pin 6 so this is just used for connecting a wire to a resistor. Also, for 6L6 there is no connection to the tube at pin 1 so this is just used for connecting a wire to a resistor.
So it appears the one on the left is more typical for EL34 but could also work for 6L6. The one on the right would be for 6L6 (standard Fender BF style) and will not work for EL34.
