Goldie is an open back 2x10" combo with a Weber C10Q & P10Q. Tube complement is 6SN7-12DW7-5879-12AX7-6SN7- 6V6GT pair w/ 5AR4 CLC supply. 2 stage pickup tuning stage into tilt control and tone controls, gain stage, relay to hot channel & back, either to effects loop and splitter, effects return to splitter non-inverting input. 4,8,16 ohm out to drive any substitute cab. Audio files to follow.

Re: New amp
Looks great! Another cool topology from the Bordello. Is the whole amp fed by the CLC? If so, how do like the response and feel?
Re: New amp
No. The screens and beyond are, but the PA plates are just using 47uF metalized poly.

Re: New amp
I love the vertical combo cab.
Any chance you have a schematic?

Re: New amp
I haven't drawn one up yet, but will post one in a few days, with some audio if I can get some help from the wife. We are spending a lot of time with the 2 week old grandbaby, so a week at the latest.

Here ya go Brewdude. It's a little rough as I tried to improve the light pencil with a marker and lost some detail. Ask if an area is indecipherable.
Edited for multiple errors. Good eye on the pentode 10thTX, yes the plate was designed for 56k, and the screen 560k. What I had on hand was 51.1k and 511k. The resistor at the bottom of the input stage feedback loop to ground is 220k, I didn't label it earlier. Also noted the heater supply referenced to the 6V6 cathode.

Re: New amp
That's a very interesting amp! And thanks for posting the schematic!
Is it correct that you have a 560k plate resistor for the 5879 ……….. OR is it a 56K?
With respect, 10thtx

Re: New amp
There is a lot to digest there.
I’m going to have to study it a bit more, but I know I will have some questions.
Thanks for posting.

And I just noticed the missing arm on the tilt switch.

Re: New amp
Here is a lower than bedroom level excerpt of me masturbating with the Avalanch Run in the loop. Excuse the pitiful playing, my minimal skills have been worsened by carpal tunnel and arthritis. I will post some real volume clips of clean and hot channels with a pro player when I return from this wedding.

Re: New amp
That sounds really good, man. Nice and articulate. Very interesting design too, as always, and your playing is fine, don't apologize! Sucks about the arthritis and carpel, but that's the new Mother Nature takin' over, she's gettin' us all...
Re: New amp
Thanks Colossal, at.64 I'm happy to still be sucking air and able to sling solder. Full volume clips will show the real potential. Coming soon. Also, this incorporates the last of the relay boards I got from you. It was well designed with all the needed features in a very small board. I wish I had more (hint, hint)
