Cool find - info please

Post by andresound »

Just received this in immaculate condition. Haven’t fired it up yet. Will do so on a variac 😉. I can not find any schematic or info on the net. Looks to be a single ended design. MASSIVELY built. The coolest amp I have ever seen in person. Any info would be highly appreciated. Amp is a Bouyer Fidex (11w)

Nice find!
Watch out as I see atleast 2 of those uninsulated jumpers just about touching each other!

What does it use for output tube(s)?

Hi Steve,
Yes noticed that. Haven’t opened her up yet. Uses 6l6 for output and gz32 recto and 2x ef40 (I think) for pre. Seems like there are only 2 electrolytic caps. The rest seem to be film ? Apparently the unit works. Will still be careful powering up (slowly)!

Nice and neat. As if Reeves made a point to point amp. Looks like there was a contest to use the minimum chassis space. I'd not squeeze a tube between that iron so tightly though.

I see what looks like 3 good size power supply node filters in there!
