He did use tag strips to route components. Not to be confused with tag board, which lines up components like turret boards, adding unneeded longer paths.
That said, i'm underwhelmed with his choices of components, nothing special or noteworthy here.

Thanks for the clarification on this TUBEDUDE.
From Mark's gut-shot it looks like the chassis floor was polished with some sort of wire brush on a drill and maybe some aluminium MagWheel polish. This seems to do a quick and easy job of keeping the chassis floor shinny. You can see the contrast with the chassis edges.

I'm curious...it appears there's an outside bias adjustment, but no test points. Would you just turn it up until the plates glow, then back it off a little? :? Depending on the cabinet design, you might have to remove the chassis to make the adjustment, anyhow. Maybe I'm just too nitpicky...

2.63R speaker load just like my 3x10 CV Bandmaster. CVs came with 4 OR 8R OTs.

Not many left with original OTs.

I guess fender used a 2.67ohms load connected to the 4 ohms secondary, changing the reflected primary from the intended 6k to ca 4k?

Miles,

Are you suggesting that the combination of the 2.6R speaker load on a 4 R transformer ultimately burns them out?

I'm curious about this as I'm tempted to build a 3x10 as it's something I've not experienced :D

The 8R OTs I have only ever seen two working and it appears that a failure on either side of the OT can take out the 4R Schumachers pretty easy. I have seen around 15 or so brown BM combos and a 3rd had original OTs and speakers. People robbed the speakers for late tweed Bassman amps, a lot.

I would think 2.6R off a 4R tap would be fine. I wouldn't run it off an 8R though.

Is there any evidence he is using this amp live? When he rolled out here just last month he was using a Two Rock. (I made a thread about it with pics in the Dumble section.)

He also did a short video for Roland about how he likes the Roland Blues Cube Artist (and the capsule named after him) but as far as I can tell he's never actually used them.

I personally don't like the sound of 10" speakers not enough bottom for my taste I mean I owned a Peavey Delta Blues 210 years ago it sounded OK with the Les Paul but much rather have a 12". He must plan on using pedals for more gain Zendrive maybe? The blues cube ain't really happening I don't believe? I hope he gets his signature Dumble back.. Artists seem to follow trends with other artists sometimes. Vince probably introduced him and other studio cats or something?
