Hi there.
I plan on finishing off the heater portion of a Fender type build today and hopefully snuff out any last reservations in the wiring.
Being that the PT provides a drawing illustrating a 6.3 volt coil with no center tap I was going to bring one side of the 6.3v pair to both pins 4 and 5 on the preamp tubes and the other side of the 6.3v pair to the common ground pin 9. This appears to provide 6.3 volts ac to both heaters in parallel which puts 6.3 volts ac on each of the 2 heaters in the tubes.
In addition to this, I created a faux centertap using 100 ohm resistors, one from each of the 6.3 volt sides then tied together to power ground.
I'd surely appreciate your comment that I'm either on the right track or, headed for trouble! (this is a MOJOtone blackface bassman PT, model MOJO762)
Thanks so much,
Phil D.,

I would not mix the faux CT ground with any other ground. I ground that one to the chassis separately. It can be at any convenient point along the whole string.
