Oscilloscope suggestion

Hi guys,

I'm visiting the US in a couple of weeks and i was thinking of buying a small oscilloscope that I can use to work with my amps to tackle noise issues and parasitic oscillation.

Ideally i'd like it to as small as possible since it will travel 10.000km by plane on a suitcase and I don't have much space at home either.

The one thing you'll need to check is taht it supports your wall voltage and frequency.. Not sure where you're from, but that could be a problem, if you're say 240 at 50hz.

I love my rigol 1054z.

After 40yrs++ in the trade, and even with modern compact PCs a PC based scope will never compete with a real scope. Modern scopes are very compact. I see people in other fora reporting good experiences with direct China imports for 3-400 USDs. Aves you from hauling it your luggage.
You need to look out though, for max input signal voltage, and decent probes to sustain tube HVs, if that's your target. For audio use, 50 MHz is way sufficient bandwidth.
