The Winterland is basically the Small Special preamp into a Marshall Major power amp.

Well, I just happen to have an ExpressSCH editable version of the Marshall Major & an editable version of Talbany's 2nd Generation 50W

So ............something kinda sorta like this DRAFT illustration idea? (which is not a real amp to my knowledge but simply trying to put a visual to the above statement.)

Dumble Small Special Marshall Major = D-SS MM

Problem with the power section. It is NOT thee Major. That is the Pig rear end with some changes.

Winterland guts 003

Can you confirm that you mean that the chassis photo is showing the PIG & not the Major?

OR ………. does this mean that the schematic is showing the PIG and the photo is showing the Major?

Which schematic is considered the PIG? Is this link with the schematic an accurate schematic for the PIG?

Please clarify. Thanks!

The image is Winterland 003

I have a different schematic that I work from. Oddly, I have owned more than ten of these things from the earliest batch to 1972 and they all have massive pier screen resistors. 1k is stock on my export models 68-72.

My notes are on a computer not local to me for now.

Here is another incomplete overview to compare with. Similar at a glance. I can't find any others right now.

Thanks. Nearly a time machine.

This doubtless already known. However, for ease of reference here's Dynaco's schematic for that specific transformer set. Same as Sunn 2000 etc.

About the pots of the Ultraphonix amp, I can see some clone with an add.potentiometer fitted in the second jack . What doest it make that pot?

Thanks

Which post & entry are you referring to? If it's my build, that 2nd input jack turned into a pot is a mid pot. Dumble did something similar too on some UltraPhonix amps that I've seen.
