Gods above us

Post by Reeltarded »

Working on a thing and started thinking about Hollywood. Took a break and started wondering what the old folks were up to. Thought about "Peg" and youtubed Jay Graydon.. found this.

It's sad really. I can't even go to the pub for a burger because the fauxuntry they p!ay causes me to pray for a giant comet to just end it all.Ive noticed that my 21yo and his friends pretty much don't listen to today's music. People are starved for something real.

The people from 1978 are furious. ;)

He talks about Tommy Tedesco earlier in the vid. Tommy was a fantastic person of sense. He might have something to do with my sarcasm of simplicity. There are people who create complexity just to make it appear they overcame it. The sociacrats. They will spend a generation on a 12 second question.

Bastards.

Not sure of its veracity, but the rumor back in the day was Tommy financed Smiths takeover of Fender in the mid eighties.

Miles,

Thank you so much for posting that. Just a great interview, the end is sad because I'm still in this world professionally and it's getting harder and I've seen it happen over the last 30 years myself personally.

I was lucky that I caught the end of the good days I the late 80's 90's so I can't complain. Interesting that I sold a guitar last week to a young guy in his 20's and I asked him how it was out there for him starting out and he said it was OK, he was earning a living playing guitar. Doing some teaching, show's gigs etc, so it still can be done.

personally I've found myself going back to where I started, playing with great players regardeless of 'pay grade' of the gig and just enjoying playing.

just wanted to end on a possitive note.

Finally got some time to listen. Great stuff for sure. Some of these guys are on the road now and then. In fact most of the time I'm looking at at who's in the band when buying tickets to a show.
