thanks Martin, we've come a long way :D couldn't have done it without you :D big thanks to everyone else too who have and continue to help along the way.

I'm very pleased overall with this and it's a fitting end to my Dumble journey.

it's my old 2x12 Dumble oval back cab with vintage Marshall Celestion G12-65's. They have 'eminence' dust covers on them, you can just make it out through the grill.

Marcus, Nice job on the head cabinet! I know you've said in the past that you make your cabinets with only hand tools. Assuming you use butt joints, how do you secure these joints?

Glue and screws, countersunk, then filled with body filler before routing/sanding. 18mm ply is really strong and makes a strong box.

Looks FANTASTIC!

thanks Miles, black tolex and grill is quite sedate by my standards but I agree it has a 'classy' look.

Been playing it recently and I'm quite enjoying having it on the Jazz setting and leaving the OD on all the time and riding the gtr volume. it has a lot of gain otherwise and the Jazz setting does something quite nice to the feel of the amp at a reasonable volume through the 2x12

Well, I copped out an ordered an ODS from Jelle and he asked what color and you know I like flashy crap so I said "black".

:)

Interesting that you say that. I am still getting the feel of my newly built 183 and I was preferring the the jazz setting last night. I can't remember why but something made me wonder if I have the rock/jazz switch backwards but then again I'm not sure what the difference is supposed to sound like. Tonally, how would you describe the difference between the rock and jazz setting? Which one is fuller?

This is my first experience with any D style amp and the cleans are like nothing I've ever experienced. Incredible! I haven't got the OD dialed in like I want it yet. It's good but I'm not yet hearing enough of what I consider that Dumble OD sound. Of course much of it could be my playing.

Rock is louder, fuller (much more mids)

Jazz is lower in volume--a lot of mids get scooped, much more Blackface Fendery is this mode

man jelle's builds are magical looking :)

I'm just not sure with your past sarcasm if you really did :D. If so, please do show us some pics of the final product.
