It's been a fun journey. The last three years I've been more into playing guitar with my band than building amps.

All the best, Steve. :D

Ahhh?. Steve nobody's asking if your building right now. I know you have built several ODS's in the day. So I'll put it another way?. If your band were to get a gig on a desert island which amp would you take. :D

bepone, well definitely not an expert and I have no experience using the traditional iron...just been trying to source newer, readily available iron instead of looking for vintage. The Merren OT is very good but also very loud in my 50 watter. I really like the Merc JM-MM...is smooth enough at 6k but still has some bite. I plan on trying some Heyboer built Fender type iron soon.

Talbany, what is a Skyline with deep switch? I have never seen that ever in a Dumble. I have seen the opposite though, a Classic with Mid switch.

Also, I love any healthy ODS. Lately I have been digging my Dumble modded Marshall.

Hi Jelle
Yes thanks I have never seen a Skyliner w/Deep switch either. However
I generally find .002 treble cap overkill for my tastes, (especially on the neck position). As much as I have tried to like the Mid boost it's just a sound I can't seem to bond with. Maybe if I played pedal Steel

I'll put you down for 'Healthy"
