Tube pre Class D 250w power

Post by M Fowler »

Been pissing around with a champ cab tall enough for 12" speaker which will be a Milkman speaker, light weight.

250W 12" Neodymium Magnet Speaker
SPL 98.2dB 1W-1m
8ohm
7 lbs

Class D power amp and lower than I wanted power supply but will still get plenty of power.

Twin Reverb tone stack 12AX7 preamp tube.

Go get 'em, Mark. The fan is a PITA in bedroom setting--I add a switch and a power resistor to slow the fan speed.

What PSU will you use for the preamp tube?
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com

I've done something similar, but the amp is outside the chassis to avoid to have a fan that dissipates heat with... heat.
