Hi,
I'm trying to build a preamp with three separate channels, the usual: clean / crunch / lead. I want a foot switch with three switches; one for each channel.
Only one channel should be on at a time so if Ch.-A is ON and I step on Ch.-C foot switch, Ch.-A turns off and Ch.-C turns on. I'm starting to realize this is a bit more challenging than switching a two channel amp.
I realize I could make each switch on/off but that would mean two stomps per channel change; not easy when you're going from clean to crunch to lead in the same song!
I've build Dumble ODS type amps and A-B-C switch boxes this is a new beast to me... I have some experience with using relays via the Dumble type amps, which I was planning on using...
I know there are some here that have built 3 channel amps and was hoping someone could share their experiences. Is it possible to do this without getting into logic I.C's and the like?
Thanks for any advice you can offer....

This is another quite simple way to do it

That kit looks pretty impressive! Im assuming it works with or without MIDI? Don't need the MIDI functionality...

You can reasonably get by with a two button foot switch here. The advantage is that you can use a simple stereo phono jack/plug. The idea is:
SWITCH #1 (clean)
clean/mean
SWITCH #2 (mean)
crunch/lead
A change between any of the three channels is still a one step dance.
