Looking for a specific type of circuit board layout file

Post by Matt J »

Hey Folks!

So this past Sunday lightning struck our house. It killed our phone line, internet, and, most of all, my computer that had nearly all of my Dumble related files stored on it.

I"m gearing up to start working on my #183 build. The custom PT from Heyboer should come today, and Taylor's working on my combo cab. I'm digging around on here collecting back up the files and drawings I need. There is one I am looking for and was hoping someone might have a copy they could pot.

Someone once had made and posted on here a PDF where it showed how to wire up the circuit boards that were first made by J Borders for a 2/3rd gen build, a low-plate skyliner, or a high plate skyliner.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I have a copy of the 2nd gen hybrid layout that is listed on here, but I would love to have a proper high plate layout for a J Borders/Amplified Nation preamp board.

Thanks for any help you could provide!

Hi Matt,

Bummer about your house and electronics!

I have these layouts which might fit the bill. Do these help?

Best,
Dave

That attachment is just what I was looking for! Thank you so much Dave!!

As I start out on my #183 build, I want to make sure I use the JBorders style preamp board I got from Amplified Nation correctly!

We're back online now after the lightning strike. I actually found the spot near the house we're the lightning made a direct hit. It left a 60 foot scar in the bark up the tree, then followed down into the tree's roots. The roots exploded sending some seedling everywhere and digging a big trench about 15 feet long from the tree's base.

When the repairman came to fix the phone line, he said that he was surprised out house didn't take more damaged. He checked the main power box and found that our ground connection to Earth had for the most part rusted away. The house is over 70 years old, so this doesn't surprise me. He asked if we had had issues with buzzy electronics. I think that might finally explain why I've had some grounding issues with amps and guitars over the years.

Thankfully my younger brother works as an industrial electrician. He's coming down with his crew this weekend to rewire part of the house and redo the ground work.
