50w ODS#094 inspired build

I like the sound with this layout. Ive done a few "traditional" layouts and the overdrive always sounded a bit loose.

My 1st build with this layout had a faulty socket, wait till you have to replace one, what a mission.

High plate, 4th gen/Transition tonestack, as the original. I think this circuit really favours single coils.

Interesting to see the SSS style layout applied to an ODS. I would love to see a layout of this type of build posted in the files section one day! Well beyond my current build capabilities, but maybe some day!

Do you notice any benefit with using this type of layout versus the traditional style for an ODS?

Thanks Matt. I don’t really do full layouts anymore. They take as long as building one!

It’s probably placebo effect, but I think the overdrive sounds different in this style layout. A bit tighter sounding. Which would come down to lead dress I imagine.

Looks nice Aaron! HAD did at least two ODS with boards in that style (pictures have been floating around for a while). Seems to be a modular approach. I've done a couple of amps that way, and I like it.
