F. Langford-Smith handbook
Really grateful to an old friend who gifted me this great source of info. Being new to this hobby, this should turn on a few “light bulbs”. 1954 fourth edition.

You should go on line and print off the design and schematic section from the RC-30 RCA tube manual.
When I die, I want to go like my Grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming like the passengers in his car!
Cutting out a man's tongue does not mean he’s a liar, but it does show that you fear the truth he might speak about you!

Nice gift! Mine mostly sits on the shelf, though. For quick reference Merlin Blencowe's Valve Wizard site is very good, more accessible, guitar amp oriented, and free! For a more in-depth treatment, his books are very reasonably priced.
