Some clarification please
Can anyone speak to the similarities and differences between the Two Rock Matt Schofield 50, the JM Wonderland, and the Classic Reverb Signature? My question is how closely these amps are voiced. The Schofield 50W seems closer to a Super Reverb (lacking LNFB) with a beefed up power supply, having two GZ34s and heavier plate filtering. The Classic Reverb Signature looks similar to the Wonderland. How do they compare sonically?
Here are the gut shots for the Schofield 50 and the Classic Reverb Signature

the wonderland is lovely sweet amp, with a good tank the reverb is divine but not really very loud. I like a 100w Bluesmaster with a strat. It's like the best fender twin without the harshness but with a killer OD when you want it. Stick the FET on a footswitch with the gain pot on the front and you've got SRV on tap.

I was hoping you might weigh in Marcus. I went back and read all of your posts on your JM Wonderland build and caught the comment about volume and the 1M/68k divider. I might see a trimpot in series with that 68k resistor, or a 3-way switch or something. Which leads me to ask, in comparing these three amps, I'm guessing the Wonderland and the Classic Reverb share a little more with the SSS, having LNFB in the preamp and mixer stages, where the Schofield stays a little more on the Super Reverb side.

I have all my NFB on switches on the wonderland, so global and local. It's a nice touch, turning them all off makes the amp have a little teenage angst
It really is a beautiful clean/compressed amp.
It really is a beautiful clean/compressed amp.I think it's the cathode follower and a different reverb circuit( could be wrong on the reverb circuit, haven't checked a SSS) that separates the wonderland from the SSS, I imagine it to be 'firmer' and louder so more along the lines of the BM cleans. Have you ever tried a 100w BM? the clean sound is really, really great. I'm about to start a build on one to replace my one that got sold, it's the one Joey Landreth was using last time he came to the UK

I've missed the huge/loud clean tone with a single coil guitar that the BM with Larry Carlton sealed, ported EVM cab can give you. It has that punch in the back of the legs a 100w marshall with a 4x12 can give but in a small form factor
The wonderland is like it's quiet demure sister

bet it makes a good pedal platform though, hence John Mayer using it to great resuslts with his pedals.

I have not tried a Bluesmaster. The demos I have heard of the Wonderland, Mayer playing his signature prototype, and the Classic Reverb...they all sound really great. Yes, I imagine the lack of CF driver would change the character of the amps. That's interesting about the Wonderland being "quiet and demure". That might not be a bad thing for me. I like the idea of putting the LNFB on switches. It's easy to do and seems like it would be useful to shape the tone and gain a bit. It's the super 3D, clear, articulate, and clinical but warm cleans I would be after. There are some videos of Matt Schofield playing his pedal setup through his Super and signature TR and man, what a sound. A 4x10 with Rajin Cajuns sounds killer.
Best,
Dave

Maybe a little more detail for Schofield 50

I really liked the John Mayer Signature Reverb amp I built a wonderful sounding amp.
I got a used Ceriatone Joyful Music 100w and my amp sounded better.
My Blues Master HRM 100w is fantastic sounding and I never use the OD part just clean.
I need to clean house since I don't use these amps they just sit.
