Cap on Standby Switch

Post by Deric »

Working on a Tweed Bassman (5e6a) for a friend. New power cord, remove death cap, filter caps etc.

There is a .05u/600v cap from the standby switch to ground. It has been replaced with a 600v 715 series cap. Should this be removed or replaced with a safety rated cap?

No, it's fine.
