Anyone try a fast/slow switch on a Liverpool?
Planning my 'pool now, and just wondering if anyone has tried this - and if so, did they like it?

I've been wondering about this - what exactly is the fast/slow switch?
Re: Anyone try a fast/slow switch on a Liverpool?
Something used in the Kxmet design. It is a split plate load on the 2nd triode, where you select the 22K thru the 82K, or the 22K + 82K as the plate load resistor and take the signal from there. It is a "lower the gain" switch, which can give a bit more usable range on the volume control.

Thanks, that makes sense.

OK, I guess I'll interpret the crickets to mean that nobody has done this.

No problem. I'm very likely to try it - easy enough to undo.

You might talk to Allyn or Ur12, they replaced the hard switch with a footswitch, and eliminated the pop of the Komet style. I think they are working up some boards.
