A couple of pics of my Komet type build.
Simple, direct KF design.
Still needs a couple of things tidied up before I box it up. Grommets & cap clamps etc.
In fast mode it'll strip paint...

I like it Bob... Very clean looking build.

That looks killer! I may need to dive into this project next.
Is there a good layout of the KF60 floating around?

Looks good.
The use of dual can caps makes so much more sense then stacking under/over like Komet did.

DOH!
Could you please have posted the can cap idea before I ordered parts??
Looks good.
Edit:
Actually... how do you make that work with cans when there's only one negative terminal?
Can't quite make it out in the pics.

Re: komet like amp layout
Looks like both positive lugs are tied together to parallel the caps... the resistor on each looks like a bleeder to ground.
Also looks like a Bourns 10-turn pot for the bias adjustment... Bob, where did you get your chassis? Looks heavy duty... a lot like Mark's build.

50/50 plates, 32/32 screens, 22,22,22 from there. 220k bleeders on 1 & 2.
Heaters elevated about 75v.
Bourns 10 turn - good eyes Tony - I know it's not necessary but...
I got the chassis from Allyn. Thick like 1/8" with welded triangular blocks in the corners.
Might bump the power up to 60w or so with kt88s or 6550s.
The fast/gradual switch change is huge - might rein that in a little.
Nice amp - Loud.
