Anybody had any experience with these? How bad are the components? The shaman 20 caught my eye and it looks like some sort of mini rectifier knock off. Its pretty cheap, is it worth it? Or is it just garbage?
Thanks,
Josh
Ps, if its not worth it, im looking for a high gain head in that 20 watt range. Any recommendations?

Re: Panama amps
No direct experience but there are gutshots on the Web. Pretty much a Mesa mini rectifier clone, but with cheap PCB mounted pots and lots of fragile ribbon cables. Pretty much what you would expect for the price but if it were me I would pay a bit more for a used Mesa.

Ribbon cables and those type of connectors on them suck, I fix crap like that all day long at my day job!

Small form factor, full featured, ease of manufacture/assembly and under $500........bean counters are happy and the public get's their cheap amp!. It's basically a throw away amplifier.

Thanks for the gutshots. Now I can add Panama to the list of amps I won't work on.
