Dumbleator style build - Welagen

Post by jelle »

A first time for everything...I haven never done one as I always put them into the Overdrive Special amps I did. But like the originals, my Overdrive Reverb and Steel String Singer amplifiers do not come with the internal loop, so I gave in when a customer asked me to build him one for his ODR.

These are actually quite a bit of work to do right.

Chassis looks good so far.

CAD/CAM and to the CNC.

Nice!! I have a CNC coming to my grungy little basement shop very soon...

Out of curiosity, what is your programming chain?

The programs are AutoCAD, Meshcam, into Chillipeppr, into TinyG board. I built a Shapeoko 2 for this purpose.

The transformer is made by Heyboer *love those guys*, and is partnumber HTS-8883.

Thanks for that info... It is so hard to narrow down to what to use due to all of the apps available.

Some progress:

When done, I wonder if anyone can tell the difference between a real one and the one here.

Sonically: Why would there be any difference?
Cosmetically: Easily. An obvious copy, not a counterfeit.
