Hi folks
Been looking at some pics of Alessandro working dog amps, and it kinda looks like the reverb, (which uses a single 12AT7), recovery is fed into the tail resistor. It looks rather like the reverb pot is wired like the presence control would normally be.
Anyone got any thoughts or experience of this?
Maybe I'm wrong but it sure looks like it's that way.
I've used the other grid to feed reverb into before but never seen it done like this before.
Cheers
Shane

(Oops I didn't read the OP properly before replying before - sorry about that)
Do you have a schematic Shane?

No, but I do have a couple of photos, not the most detailed, but I'll try and draw up what I mean later.

Here's some pics. Yes I know it's two different amps but circuit and layouts the same just different components.

Re: LTP PI inputs for reverb
In the bottom pic, the LTP grids don't appear to have any other wires going to them besides the standard looking '1-input' grid, with the other grid AC shunted to ground. The camera angle makes it hard to see much detail however.
The other pics have too-small-a-field-of-view to be able to discern how the reverb return/level is injected back into the min signal

A cheesy way to save a tube section, and sounds like ass.
Proud holder of US Patent # 7336165.
Re: LTP PI inputs for reverb
If you look closely at the second picture you can see the 22k tail resistor and the .1cap connected to it. That would normally go to ground directly or to a presence pot etc. But it doesn't. The ground rail is above it. There's a wire coming from that connection going off somewhere. The next pot to right of the one shown is the reverb pot so since there seems to be no obvious reverb return mixer resistors I figured that he was injecting the reverb return into the tail of the LTP.

I used to own a Rottweiler. The reverb sounded weak compared to Fenders or even pedals such as TC Hall of fame

Thanks for those Roe. Interesting, What sparked my interest was a glowing review of a crossbred mutt in guitar and bass magazine, and the pics had some stuff that sparked my curiosity.
Always looking for new ideas!
What did amuse me a bit was Alessandro's claim that the output control wasn't a master as such but a voltage control when clearly its just a ppimv with a minimum setting limit!
Cheers
