Only a few possible scenarios come to mind to support that theory:R.G. wrote:Or that someone might see that as a good thing?JazzGuitarGimp wrote:Have you considered the possibility that the "low traffic" state of this forum has been caused by nearly a full year on the attack list? Was participation already on the decline before google listed TAG as hostile?
1) More traffic on the site causes the web hosting bill to go up.
2) Allyn wants to be done with TAG, but doesn't feel good about "just pulling the plug", and so he is waiting for it to die (for whatever reason).
But there are workarounds for both:
1) Take donations from the membership to cover the web hosting fees.
2) Pass the site to someone who cares enough about it to fix it and keep it running.
No one knows what Allyn is thinking: he refuses to communicate with us, except for an occasional appearance to say "we're working on it", which has no impact whatsoever on how the rest of us feel about TAG's demise - nor does it provide any real information about what's going on.
