Installed two balanced JJ 83's in V1 & V2 and JJ 5881's in V4/V5 with no other changes.

V1: 171.2, 160.3
V3: 242.7, 236.8
Bias: V4= 35.1, V5= 32.0
V4&V5: 389 plates, 382 screens

Good question, after I changed tubes it sat idle on the dummy load for about an hour. Hopefully I will get chance to hear it this weekend if I'm not playing with drones.

Always thought one could probably have a blast causing trouble in a populated area :)

Rolled V1&V2 tubes and reflowed a couple of solder joints with no other changes.

V1&V2: JJ 83S
V3: Sovtek LPS
V4&V5: JJ 5881
Rect. Tube: Ruby 5AR4


PT: 120V, 300 - 0 - 50 - 300

Mains: 122.2

V1: 166.5, 172.8
V2: 168.3, 210.7
V3: 244.5, 238.3
V4: 391, 385, 35.1
V5: 391, 385, 32.0

Dropping string : 680R>9.1K>27K.
Screen resistors: 1K

like you have.
what size of resistor on the pot ( lug1?) do you have going to ground?

also you said you are using 5881's ~ is that tranny TO40 - a 4k?

I'll probably use 6v6's as I have a 6.6k 20 watt OT

How does she sound TM?
I'm thinking about a 1 x 12 combo build. Might add reverb.
Exceptionally elegant build - you make it look easy.
