I cannot resist

..the surplus parts Fairyland that is Apex Jr.

Driving back from a business meeting in LA my car was magically steered towards Apex Jr in Torrance. I had nothing to do with it. When I woke up these were in my trunk.

I'm certain there is a twelve step program for this, but please, do not attend it.
That looks like fun.

The first step is to admit you have a problem. The second is to put all that in a box and send it to me for safekeeping - I won't tell). The third step is to forget where you sent it. Done! You're cured.

Yes they are 715P 800v. I got some .022s at 50 cents/ea. He had a few other values suitable for guitar amps but at that point I had to stop. I went in for wire and knobs. Wire and knobs. I can stop anytime I want . Really.

It would be such great danger though.
Of course, I'd have twice as many amps as I do now, and I have too many now.
As lord said, I can stop anytime.

Lucky me, I live so far from any decent electronics warehouse. Otherwise I'd be broker.

Living where I do I've never visited Steve's shop, but I buy from him regularly and have been doing so for close to 10 years now.

I did recently get some of those bottom mount Belton noval sockets, great price. Too bad he seems to be out of the solder lug octals, also a great price. Those black Omron octals are great too.

Living far away isn't any better I have so much stuff I had to add more and more plastic drawer containers to hold it all.

Every time I order something I add more to the order just to satisfy myself that paying for the shipping is now worth it with the extra goodies.

Right, and the rule is if you have parts on hand they are considered to be "free" when thinking about the cost of a new build.

"So this new amp only cost $65 because I had most of the parts on hand"

"Really? But how much did the parts on hand cost?"

"I don't know. Um, look over there! It's Elvis!"

You'll get no sympathy here, Mark. We all have that disease. I'll be headed out to the 12 step program this evening. Should I swing by and pick you up?

Don't they give away free solder at the meetings?
