Thanks for the suggestions folks, to those who think I should build a "better" amp, I had, some thieving wanker stole my Dumble clone Head after a gig along with my 90,s strat and Suhr modern , no insurance payout so I figured buying replacement guitars might so I can actually play may be slightly more important than building a amp with nothing to play on,

I'll report back on the results as and when I have a chance

So sorry that you got ripped off.

I hate thieves and especially gear thieves.

I would feel devastated if someone stole my D clone.
Or any of my guitars.
All that work and tweaking.

I have been robbed before and it is a scary feeling, totally violated, nothing is sacred.
You didn't have owner insurance on your home?

Sending you good vibes to recover your gear.

Unfortunately our house insurance doesn't extend to instruments or possessions off the property and the car insurance only covers the car itself, tossers like that need hanging, I doubt I'll see any off my gear again

Man what a bummer.

I see you are in the UK.

I know here in the states that if you have a collection, like more than three guitars, you have to buy a rider for the added property value you possess.

I call it radical instrument theft.

POST PICTURES

I will post them around in places where someone local to you might see them and you might get your stuff back.

There is a chance.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Uk based mate, got the serials out with local musos and shops, rehearsal studios, police crime report, local sales sites etc, apart from the Dumble which has no serial the other 2 guitars apart from personal attachment are neither unique or particularly rare instruments, thanks for the thought tho, much appreciated,

Here is a mod to get better TONE.
Remove that stupid filter on the input R1,C1,C2 and put a 22 to 33K direkt on pin 7 instead .
I have done this mode on many many Mesa and every body is happy whit it.
U will get a more open and "normal " tone.

Other thing u can do is to remove R15 and R16 and install a 1M trim pot instead, now u can adjust/pre sett our gain on clean.

Having your property stolen sucks. Sorry to hear that. IMO, if you want it back, you have to take it back. That means you become an investigator until you recover your property. It takes determination. It falls under the, "if you want it done right, do it yourself" category. Any other approach and you are just a victim. YMMV.

To increase low mids specifically, change the tone stack values for channel 1, so either reduce R11 to 56k or lower if needed or reduce C9 from 0.047uf to 0.022uf

you can try those values on Duncuns tone stack calc to see how they effect the tone
