Hughes and Kettner Statesman Dual el84 screen resistors?

Post by Charlie Wilson »

Hello, a customer brought me a Hughes and Kettner Dual el84 amp that he tried to install new power tubes in. He managed to burn up the screen resistors and they are so burnt I can't tell what value they are. Has anybody out there worked on one of these, and if so, could they let me know what value those resistors are? I emailed Hughes and Kettner but I don't expect them to give me much information. Thanks.

100 to 200 ohms @ 2 watts should make the amp nice and happy !

Make sure the tube sockets have not arced over and have Carbon tracks on and in them now.

Thanks Stevem. The only band left on the old resistors is the first one and it is brown. So I will go with 100 ohm.
