Check this out......

Post by redshark »

This is a very cool Overdrive special. I got asked to bring a guitar and test the amp. My friend's mom owns this amp. Her husband that passed away in 99 was the original owner......

She wants to talk to Howard abut the amp so if someone knows his contact number please send me a private message so i can give her Howard's current number.

If you have any questions...... let me know!! ;)

The amp sounds great! i'm a trainwreck guy because i'm partial to power tube distortion vs. preamp distortion but I was impressed how dynamic the amp is and also it has great sustain. Of course Dumbles are famous for that!!

I didn't take a picture from the back, the speaker is an Altec lansing, the amp is a 100 watts with 6L6's and no, I didn't look inside. I just came to test the amp..... :D

Very nice! Looks like a 2nd or 3rd gen. You didn't happen to note the serial number did you?

Not at all!

Looks like a typical "transition generation" chassis (some silver, some black). Here's a link to a picture of the "transistion generation" ODS #0093: https://tubeamparchive.com/download/file.php?id=26508

If someone should be interested in some more infos concerning the specs of these ODS amps in a "transition generation" chassis (serial number range between #0070 and #0100) here's a link: https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.ph ... highlight=

Cheers,

Max

I was guessing some kind of balanced line-out. Looked like it said "8 Ohm Speaker" on it.

P.S. - No serial number on the amp?

The layout looks different too. Looks like the P.I valve at the back next to the capacitor, and the PRE and OD valves at the front.
Also, looks like "100W" and "3", for the fuse rating, are written in pen.
