Yamaha 50 watt alnicos

Has anybody tried or heard these? $80 for the pair. Tempting. They look very well built, from the pics. Thanks

There's a chance they were made by someone else. Any numbers on the frame to ID the maker?

I don't expect EIA factory numbers in a Japanese speaker.

FWIW it was often claimed that high end Japanese guitar speakers (think Yamaha and Roland) were OEM made by Pioneer.

I'm intrigued by the Alnico reference.

Not very common, because Japanese, "being technically advanced" or so it seemed, were early users of ceramic magnets.

Can you please post/link pictures of those speakers seen from the back or side?

Of course a front picture will only show the cone :(
