Re: looking for a good trem/ verb unit schematic
Slucky and Doug those are some really great looking builds guys.
Not that I need another project but I think I'll try tackle building one of your Revibes Doug in near future. Had some locals interested in such a device.

Re: looking for a good trem/ verb unit schematic
Thanks.
I did build an original Jeff Gehring schematic version in a chrome chassis that weber used to make, but I sold that one many years ago and then built the Rack ReVibe.

ReVibe with 6G12-A tremolo?
The ReVibe has got my attention but I'm wondering why there is scarce mention of anybody modifying one up to the -A tremolo version?
Are there problems with that design that I haven't heard about? The number of components is virtually the same, just an extra tube really, shouldn't add much in the way of difficulty to the build.
What's the scoop?

Re: looking for a good trem/ verb unit schematic
Great clips Doug! Plenty of tank drive with that 6V6.
Must admit I hadn't looked at the Revibe.
Tempting... sometime soon.

Re: looking for a good trem/ verb unit schematic
See Fender Super 6G4-A. There is a CF between the LFO and the PI.
Re: looking for a good trem/ verb unit schematic
Thanks. I'm slow this morning.

Just in the process of reworking the Hoffman 2015-05-16 schematic in ExpressSCH to fit in Leo's 3 tube tremolo circuit.sluckey wrote:What's that? Do you have a schematic? Two Alpha wrote:the -A tremolo version?
I'm two weeks new to these schematic and layout drawing programs, fumbling not very successfully with diylc currently.
Really impressed with your layouts, printed out the V3 one in order to highlight the components in the current tremolo circuit that would remain exactly as they are. Pencil on paper until I get a handle on diylc.
Also really like your build with the larger chassis, definitely leaning it that direction.
Re: looking for a good trem/ verb unit schematic
I'm actually trying to merge the three tube Fender tremolo circuit with the Hoffman 2015-5-16 schematic, had a little confusion as to which ReVibe was which as I've been looking at them all.
Re: looking for a good trem/ verb unit schematic
Why? I doubt there will be any difference in the sound. I like the looks of the "A" schematic that uses a CF and a cathodyne phase inverter, but really, the simple paraphrase inverter used in the earlier version sounds very good. Who cares how you derive the two modulating signals. They're not in the signal path. The modulator is the same with either circuit and that's what counts.I'm actually trying to merge the three tube Fender tremolo circuit with the Hoffman 2015-5-16 schematic
