12BH7 shield source?

Post by FuzzFaceBuilder »

I'm building an amp with a AU7/BH7 driver and bought a tall ELCO shield not looking at the socket base size. Needless to say it doesn't fit. Anyone have a source for tall noval covers to cover a 12BH7/ECC99 they wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks in advance.

Unless it's super close to the PT you really should not need one, but the two spring type retainers for el84 size tubes can be moded if need be to work as a hold down.
If you have a sourse for old TV sets you might turn up a real cover!
