68' SF Bassman

Post by AtomCap »

Just picked up a 68' Silverface bassman, all original inside, hodge podge of tubes, owned by a smoker, preserved in cigarette tar, chassis is decent, faceplate is ok- nothing to write home about.

Would you:
Restore it? (caps, bad resistors etc)
Restore/ Mod the existing circuit?
or Gut and make a Gen 3 ODS 50watter with the chassis/iron.

Decisions.

Flip, because I can't stand the smell.
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com
